"You'll be in good hands if you hook up with Tom for your fitting needs. Tom actually helped me with the design of our 919F/D fairway driver head model this past year when he emailed me to ask if I would consider designing such a head and then he offered a lot of very good suggestions for how he felt it should be designed. So his knowledge in equipment is much beyond most and with his fitting experience, he will do you right."

Tom,
"I'm on my way back from the golf tournament, it was a 1 man scramble.1st time playing here, lots of wind. 1st day I scored 72 with two eagles and 1 birdie. 2nd day scored 68 with 5 birdies, I placed 2nd gross for tournament.
I actually gained distance with all clubs but I still have a large gap between the sand wedge and gap wedge. Where the L and S wedge were about the same distance.
L 105
S 105 to 110
G 135
P 145 to 150
9 155
8 165
7 175 to 180
6 190
5 200 +
The 60 degree wedge I feel needs a little more loft to be perfect but did work really well.
Anyway I will give them more work this week."

Hey, Tom, how you doing,
Another update, I had a golf tournament today and irons are getting better, distance is still going up on all clubs, mysteriously my sand wedge also gained lots of controlled distance which was great. I took 2nd place again which wasn't bad at all where I'm still progressing. I have another tournament in two weeks, that should be the telling sign. I will let ya know.
Thanks again,
Jerry L

Hi Tom,
Just wanted to let you know I went to the range a couple of days this week for the first time with the new clubs.
They were far and away the best times I've ever had on a driving range. The first day I smiled most of the time and even had to throw in a few fist bumps. The second day I ran through the set to compare distances. It is the first time I have ever been able to hit consistently enough to do that. They all didn't go straight or as far as they should, but I didn't flub any -- a first. It was on a mat, which isn't the same as hitting off grass, but even still these exceeded my expectations.
I'm really happy.

"Tom built my gap wedge and I love it. He's not just a club builder, he's an expert golfer and was able to analyze my stance, swing, etc, and build the perfect club. I've had him re-grip some other clubs as well, and each club turns out perfectly every time. I'll definitely use his services again."

"I have had several sets of custom made clubs but I would have to say that Tom's have felt the most comfortable and have performed the best. From the personal fitting process to the very reasonable cost it was a great experience. One year later I am still enjoying my clubs and they still feel new."

I recently worked with Tom Summerhays of Summerhays Custom Golf in Utah who fits using Wishon components and I thought I would share some brief thoughts from my experience.
I have been playing for 10 years since my sophmore year of high school and am as obsessed with the game. I am a 3 handicap with good club head speed (90 mph 6 iron, 115 driver) and have always struggled with hitting hooks, especially off the tee. So I have browsed around Lag's ABS site and got into playing older, flatter gear. I used a set of hogan PC5's 2-pw, an old school steel shafted cobra driver, a hogan sw, and my long time putter. Nearing the end of the year I just needed to upgrade because I knew I was giving up way too many strokes with my equipment. And I was still struggling with hooks, even with the flatter stuff.
I found Tom Summerhays and we got started.
Tom runs his fitting work at local ranges, so we did the work by feel and eyes out on the range. The first session Tom took some static measurements and then watched me hit balls for a while, and then I got to hit a variety of Wishon clubs he had for me to try. In the end we had three range sessions of an hour or two each. In between I would borrow and test demos, and he slowly built me one or two clubs at a time as I got comfortable with different clubs. And he had to adjust clubs a couple times for me after the original build, which he was very kind and patient to do. I honestly can't say enough for how much time Tom was willing to put in to help me tune in every club."

Hey Tom I played my first round with the irons today and shot 3 under. The irons were perfect. They felt great every shot. consistent distance, and most importantly trajectory, just phenomenal and I love the different look of the shafts. Just wanted to tell you thanks again. I'll be playing this for a very long time.
